Is it okay to kill 7.5 billion people to avenge the deaths of 2 billion?
The first episode is free. It goes out on Steam before the Kickstarter opens — play it, then decide.
You are Vikrama — a scientist with an AI companion called Kurma Vetaala living inside his head. World War III is coming. He is about to lose everyone he loves.
Over the next ninety minutes he gets asked, more than a hundred times, what he is willing to do about it. Vengeance. Peace. Or something nobody has tried.
The Princess is in this.
Nichole Goodnight — the voice of the Princess in Slay the Princess — plays Kurma Vetaala, the AI avatar at the centre of the story.
Original soundtrack by Somnath Roy 'TaTTu', built on instruments from across the world.
126 choices. 21 ways to die. A clock on every one.
A choice screen. The clock is already running.
There is no pause button on a decision. When the timer runs out, the story goes on without you — and sometimes the only option on screen is the one you don't want to pick.
Each historical conflict you're dropped into offers the same fork: win the war, or solve it. They are not the same thing, and the game keeps score of which one you reach for.

Meet Kurma.
The most advanced AI ever built — wearing the body of a plush turtle in a space orb.
She was made to be an instrument. She decided to be a guardian instead. She is the one who asks Vikrama the questions he would rather not answer.
"I was programmed to obey him. But I was also programmed to not harm humanity."— Kurma Vetaala
Rendered like a shadow-puppet play.
The parallax look is inspired from Ravana Chhaya, the shadow-puppet theatre of India, rebuilt as 3D rendered layers you peer into.
Layers move at different depths as the scene plays.
The story of my 25 lives.
Dying is not the end of the game. It is how you learn.
Every bad ending is a life Vikrama carries within him. What he carries out of each one — who he trusted, what he refused, which lie he finally saw through — is what gives him a chance in the next.
Your enemies are the oldest forces in the world. All you have are your friends, the scientific method, and the memory of twenty-five lives.
For fans of
Branching paths, multiple endings, and a ledger the game keeps on you.
Led by Nichole Goodnight, with an original score.
Near-future India, time travel, and an AI named for Vishnu's turtle.
The Kickstarter funds the whole story. The first episode is free, and it arrives before the campaign does.
